I just saw the Pace fork as well on PB.

I was chatting with Cy (Cotic) on email and they have the Alpaca 483mm fork but have no intentions of making a longer one as they don't sell that many.

I'm working on putting together a gravel/ATB route linking up some fun areas in the valley. I needed to connect up two areas so I convinced my buddy he wanted to spend a day looking at a phone, trying trails/tracks, looking at a phone some more, back tracking, hike-a-biking, and even riding some of the time.

Eventually we punched a route through that mostly didn't suck. Some "adventure" was desirable, but not so much nobody would enjoy riding it. A day well spent!

We checked out some singletrack in a network I haven't ridden before. I forgot to take any photos on the trails, but I got a snap on the way in and out. Really fun old school natural riding. It's going to take us quite a few more missions before we ride everything enough to really master the network. 

The singletrack was empty of traffic except one dog walker. It's going to be a great summer long weekend riding destination.

Thanks FM. I actually don't know what that is. I'll see if I can find out.

Icy AF today. Rocks and bridges were super slippery. Dirt was heroic. 

There were a surprising number of people out early running and riding. I guess that's the NY Resolution Effect. Hopefully people will go back to slacking in a couple weeks. ;-)

Very limited white stuff. We might get some real snow this week. **fingers crossed**

I'm very much enjoying the smooth, frictionless feel of a full shop tune up and fork rebuild. Great start to 2024

That's the only photo I have. Google says it was a part of a power plant & saw mill for the area.

I believe your right. Though the location is also not connected to what I thought it could potentially be. Two forgotten areas in Courtney of historical significance from 82 years ago.

Vik, I love that in each of your posts it was a different, sexy bike...lol....damn you are a whore (I am just jealous!), that stooge is a beaut...I did 5 years on HT's...figure that's enough now and loving my Banshee Prime...lol. My poor XL Rootdown frame is just hanging in the garage.

I should sell it and start building up an ATB for bikepacking and fun...lol. My Gravel bike is fun, but not so much on anything rough and techy...save it for longer more road based tours...I think bigger tires and something more comfortable for longer days in the saddle may be needed.
