The section at roughly 48 seconds of the video has played with my head last few seasons. I have only tried it once, wiped out bad & almost broke my foot. Is there any chance of the pedals hitting on the sides or bottoming out? As you drop into the slit the rock is kind of on an angle. I am always thinking my tire is gonna slide over to one side as I descend. Prolly better to hit with some speed, but like I said this part freaks me out. Lotsa parts similar to this in the park I can hit no problem, but can't wrap my head around this particular one. Advice? (Oh ya, the alternate line on the left is not an option for me)
That move played with my mind a bit actually, just started hitting it last summer. I had the same concern about front wheel in that hole, but it doesn't happen (at least with 2.5" Minions). I've crept through that move trials style, way slower than anyone should, and it was fine. Now I just roll through it at trail speed with my weight centred, nothing to it, bike doens't deflect at all and it's wide enough. Still haven't attempted the move on rider's left, maybe this summer.
luckbox: thanks for posting those Creekside shots.
