Looking for a 27.5 rear wheel with a 6-bolt, 12x142, HG driver hub and an internal rim width of 26-30mm.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

My buddy Jesse in Whitby has a Nukeproof Horizon v2, 12x142, 6 Bolt, i30 for sale.

He's selling the pair but willing to split.

I have the perfect candidate wheel that fits that description, unfortunately it is still attached to a bike! Good luck with your search, 27.5/12x142 is the new 26er in terms of scarcity.

I have one I was gifted - but after looking at the rim you can see the beginnings of cracks around the eyelets so that's a nope. I thought about just buying a new rim and using the hub I have but after paying for the rim and getting it laced up I t will be the same as a new wheel. I'm hoping to find something someone has laying around they just want to get rid of for cheap. The wheel I have is fine for now, but the rim width (21mm!) is a bit undersized for the bike/tire so I'm running a bit higher pressure than I'd like.

Hmm.. Syncro, only thing can suggest to try would be go check what is in Sports Junkies and see if they have anything. Other place would be Our Community Bikes. Only other one to try is the guru of buying old stock and reselling cheap is Simon's on Robson. That is if he still does that.

I think I still have a 26 135 QR hanging in the shed, but the 27.5’s were all sold with frames and 1.5 steer-tubes.

I looked on PB buysell just for kicks expecting to see a tonne locally and then call you a dumbass. I was shocked, there are basically none. Best of luck!

One front + rear set out in, I think, Abbotsford with pink Chris king hubs but he wants 700+.

An ok buy if a guy really wanted pink Chris king hubs and was keen to use boostinators later down the road, but pretty niche.

Yeah, when I first looked on PB I was pretty surprised at what was available too. Some high priced nice stuff and some beat rims not worth buying. Unfortunately anything halfway decent comes in close to or more than the price of buying a new rim and getting it built up with my current hub.
